Though a modern property, the Radisson SAS Palais Hotel consists of two former palaces – the Palais Leitenberger and the Palais Henckel von Donnersmarck – both of which date from the late 19th-century and have been carefully restored so as to not lose any of their original splendour. The plush interior boasts 19th-century architectural motifs, all impeccably restored and dramatically illuminated. The entrance hall, which is particularly impressive, with its grand staircase and frescoed ceilings, leads to an elegant lobby and a Viennese cafe.
