The Mercure Wien City Hotel is housed in a terraced, 8-storey building dating from the early 1990s, which is architecturally quite plain but benefits from a brightly decorated façade. The medium sized lobby is appointed in a modern, understated style with a marble floor, potted plants and a light wood reception desk. There is also a compact lounge area and a tiny bar. The 123 guestrooms, most of which are also medium sized, feature light, neutral décor, complemented by contemporary furnishings. All are clean and decently maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel also offers a Continental buffet breakfast every morning in its Belvedere snack bar, which backs onto a small, secluded courtyard where guests can dine in fine weather. Overall, this is a very well situated hotel, with a good standard of accommodation. |
