Kaiserin Elisabeth hotel
The Kaiserin Elisabeth Hotel is housed in a handsome, 14th-century town house with a yellow stone façade located in a side street just next to St Stephen's Cathedral. During the 19th-century it played host to such musical luminaries as Wagner and Liszt. The interior of the property features marble or polished wood floors throughout, with Oriental-style rugs adding warmth and elegance. The 63 fin-de-siècle guestrooms are also smartly decorated and well kept. The en suite bathrooms are especially large, but they are tiled and equipped with tub/shower combinations, vanity mirrors, and, in some cases, bidets. The hotel offers a Continental buffet every morning in its welcoming breakfast room with crisp white linen table cloths and large mirrors. |
