K+K Palais Hotel
The K & K Palais Hotel is housed in an historic building with an impressively ornate pale stone façade. The spacious lobby is painted a shade of Imperial Austrian yellow, lending it a bright, welcoming atmosphere, and is dominated by modern marble staircase. These features contrast pleasingly with the brightly coloured rugs and dark leather armchairs. There’s also a cosy lounge area and an attractive lattice-covered bar. The 66 good-sized guestrooms are decorated in a contemporary style, with pale walls, crisp white bed linen, sisal carpets and light-toned beech or wicker furniture. The tiled en suite bathrooms are equipped with tub/shower combinations, decent shelf space and state-of-the-art plumbing. The hotel offers a Continental buffet every morning in its breakfast room, which is slightly more traditionally appointed, with yellow lamps and dark wood fittings.
***The hotel will be renovating the façade of the hotel from the end of June until the end of August 2008. Scaffolding will be in place on the outside of the building and will be visible from 25 rooms at the front of the hotel.*** |
