In the Grand Hotel – famous for being at the very hub of Viennese social life since the turn of the 20th century – the magnificent spirit of the Belle-Époque is blended with the latest technologies and comforts. It is housed in an imposing, traditional building with an ornate exterior, which blends in well with the magnificent architecture of the surrounding buildings on the Ringstrasse. The standard rooms have a view to the inner courtyard and are equipped with two telephones: one beside the bed and one at the work desk. The “Le Ciel” gourmet restaurant is located on the 7th floor, where the view over the city of Vienna is spectacular. The Chef, Siegfried Pucher, offers a combination of traditional Viennese and French cuisine. The “Grand Café,” on the first floor, will spoil you with Viennese specialities and traditional home made Austrian pastries, as well as international dishes. The “Unkai” restaurant offers a fascinating variety of Japanese specialities. Sushi and Sashimi are served perfectly in the traditional manner, and Teppanyaki dishes are prepared in front of guests.
