Bristol hotel
Next to the Vienna State Opera, the Bristol Hotel, a Westin property, has been an opulent meeting point for the city's rich cultural and business life since 1892. Inside, precious fin-de-siècle antiques blend harmoniously with the latest technology. The small lobby has ample seating and elegant décor, which evokes the height of the Habsburg Empire. Elsewhere, many of the architectural details in the public areas rank as objets d'art in their own right, including the black carved marble fireplaces and the oil paintings in the salons. The entrances to the 140 spacious guestrooms are sumptuously appointed in Noble Calacatta and Nero Marquinia. The rooms themselves conjure an atmosphere of traditional luxury, with precious fabrics, crisp white bed linens, dark wood fittings and chandeliers. All are clean and immaculately maintained, as are the black and white tiled en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a variety of dining options. The highest culinary awards have been bestowed upon the "Korso Bei Der Oper" restaurant, which serves both international and regional cuisine and creates a stylish modern ambience with its corkscrew marble columns. The Bristol Bar, with its elegant wood panelling, offers a cosy hide away for an after lunch drink or an aperitif before dinner. Located across from the Vienna State Opera, the Rotisserie Sirk serves pleasant breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, while the Café Sirk unites Viennese and international coffee lovers. |
