New York Palace hotel
The New York Palace Hotel is an opulent property, which was originally built in 1894 in an eclectic style drawing inspiration from the Italian renaissance. The façade retains its original grandeur, while the interiors are more modern, though no less impressive. All the fine marble, precious fabrics and furnishings with which they are appointed come from the original home of style and design: Italy. The huge, atrium style lobby conveys a majestic impression upon arrival. The 107 splendid guestrooms include 22 deluxe rooms, 25 Suites and 2 enchanting Royal Suites, designed by architect Maurizio Papiri. They feature subtle colour schemes combining sage, muted gold and wenge brown. These are complemented by freshly cut flowers, lustrous polished furniture and gilded mirrors. In the hotel’s elegant New York Café Restaurant, brilliant designer Adam D. Tihany has created dazzlingly modern backdrops of glass, steel and light for delicious traditional Italian dishes, as well as some regional specialities. Alternatively guest can enjoy international haute cuisine in the ultramodern Deepwater Restaurant, while the Cigar Bar offers a setting reminiscent of the typical cafés of Budapest, where intellectuals and artists once gathered. The hotel also has an extremely well equipped spa, which is styled like an alpine ice-tunnel complete with waterfalls and Swarowski crystal prisms. |
