Marriott Hotel
Undergoing extensive refurbishment from the beginning of 2007 until early 2008, the Marriott Hotel is housed in a somewhat austere, 12-storey concrete building with a terrace overlooking the Danube. The medium sized lobby is appointed in dark woods, lending it a warm, pleasant atmosphere. There is a small shop attached to the reception area and a patisserie counter in the centre of the seating area. Also medium sized, the 342 guestrooms are decorated in bright, attractive colour schemes, complemented by lushly patterned carpets, floral bedspreads, and etched glass. Every room has a view over the Danube, many with balconies. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. On the ground floor there’s a typical Hungarian restaurant, an American-style eatery and a breakfast room. Guests can dine on the terrace during the summer months. The "World Class" fitness centre has a squash court and a top-notch fitness room, with classes available. |
