Corinthia Grand Royal Hotel
The Cornithia Grand Royal is a modern lively hotel within a distinguished historical façade, which serves as a reminder of traditionally Hungarian hospitality. Upon entering the property, the guest is met with a soaring central atrium that rises six floors to a glass roof. At its base, a huge decorative mosaic stretches across the lobby floor, recalling the Art Nouveau period and providing a breathtaking centre-piece. To the left, the lobby lounge serves afternoon teas with the understated elegance of an earlier era. To the right, the lobby leads to a second atrium housing boutiques and small, specialist shops. At the front of this arcade the Viennese café offers the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. First opened in 1886, the Royal Spa has been beautifully restored to its original splendour and now offers the latest state-of-the-art spa facilities and treatments.
The Royal Spa is designed for perfect rest and relaxation and as such the services are available exclusively for adults over 16 years of age. For hotel guests with younger families the hotel offers complimentary transfers and entrance to the Spa facilities at their sister property, the Corinthia Aquincum Hotel. The 205 spacious guestrooms are tastefully decorated in modern style, using only the finest fabrics and materials. Some of the rooms overlook the atrium or the Grand Boulevard, while other overlook the courtyard or lively Harsfa Street. The hotel offers a choice of five restaurants and one bar with a comprehensive selection of culinary delights from all over the world. The main restaurant, “Le Brasserie Royale”, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Parisian Brasserie style, while the Atrium offers the chance to dine ‘alfresco’ all year round on an à la carte selection of traditional French and Hungarian dishes, along with some international favourites. There’s also the Rickshaw Restaurant & Sushi Bar, which specialises in Far Eastern cuisine and sushi, as well as a couple of bars. This is a beautiful hotel restored to a high standard and recommended for any visitor looking to stay in one of the best five stars in Europe. |
