The Hotel Devín has been part of the history of Bratislava since 1954. Thanks to its significant architectural features the property is now regarded a jewel of the functionalist style. The lobby is small and somewhat gloomy, with limited seating. The reception desk is located on the right hand side of the main entrance. The hotel offers 94 single and double guest rooms and 6 luxurious suites, all with views over the Danube's banks or Bratislava Castle and the historic city centre. Reasinably spacious and well maintained, their décor features natural fabrics, pastel shades and light wood furnishings. The hotel's famous French restaurant is popular both with guests and locals. It serves both international and regional cuisine and has an extensive wine cellar. The relaxed atmosphere is complemented by stylish furniture, etched glass figurines from Ctibor Belan and paintings by one of Slovakia's most famous artists, Mária Medvedská. There is also a lobby bar with a summer terrace, where the view over the River Danube and the river side of Petrzalka will enrich guests' enjoyment lighter meals and cocktails. |
